Slot Missions in Hogwarts

Slot missions are a great opportunity to earn equipment, weapons and other items. They're difficult to complete.

Concealed Weapon Slot

The concealed weapon slot is a specific slot that lets you bring pistols in to a mission. Some players use it to help them achieve certain achievements, particularly those who are aiming for Suit Only. Some prefer having the extra pistol as an extra weapon to close the gap. When using this slot, you need to remember that you will have to click the corresponding pistol category button, for instance the alternative slot 2 for machine guns, to select them. Major Expedition and Adept Rider are both active, making it simpler to use. This combo also gives you damage from Concealed Weapon every 10 seconds as long as you have it placed in.

Smuggled Item Slot

The smuggled items slot a great feature that lets players bring weapons and tools into the game, but it could be improved. It's currently designed to resemble a pistol, which makes it difficult to distinguish the smuggled weapon slot from other slots for gear.

The smuggle slot can be used to store a variety of items - from concussion devices to explosives for weapons to more subtle concussions. These items can be found in hidden places around the map. They can also be found any time. The items that are smuggled differ from Agency Pickups or Hidden Stashes which hide only small objects in scenery and objects.

Mission planning is a feature available in episodic missions that lets players gain access to different starting points equipment, smuggled items, and slots prior to their entry into the map. The options for planning increase as players complete challenges and obtain higher Mission Mastery levels. This allows players to design the perfect mission for each task.

Gear Slot

The gear slots will rapidly get full early in the game, resulting in the dreaded message "Your Gear Slots are Full". This message prevents Max to pick new equipment until the old ones are removed or more space is obtained. Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials are the solution to this issue. They give players more inventory space to complete challenges missions. However, because many of these challenges are scattered throughout the globe and are easily missed it could take some time to get the largest amount of inventory slots available in-game.

The five Gear Slots of a player can be filled with up to five different types of gear, which must be selected from the Gear Selection menu before a Break-In can begin. Each gear item (except for the Pistol), takes up one Gear Slot, while a grouping of similar items (such as Grenades in a grouping) can only use one Gear Slot.

Agency Pickups

As you progress through the Mission Mastery levels you unlock various agency pickups on the map. These locations let you store an item that does not fit in your slot for gear or weapon and then retrieve it later.

These pickups are especially useful if you have to go through a frisk later in the course of your mission, or if you are carrying a weapon that would otherwise be suspect. You can only hide one item per game at an agency pickup location.

This DLC adds new contracts for security and asset protection to the agency. To begin these missions, just talk to the receptionist of the agency and stock up on armor and snacks. Once you've reached the mission marker you can identify a crowd at the time you arrive.
